WHAT DO WE DO?

Project Restart is 501c3 nonprofit, but more importantly, a collaborative effort comprised of several Atlanta Area nonprofit partners, financial institutions and other agencies working toward one common goal: To reduce recidivism through supporting second chances for success.

This is accomplished through providing members who have a criminal record with reentry supportive services, hosting special workshops and events and providing an annual 12-week self-exploration and training program.

12-Week Cohort Program

Upon members completing the first phase of personal development, members strengthen their self-awareness through identifying values, passions, skills and barriers.  We improve their financial awareness and capabilities and introduce them to key partners and resources, which improves their success trajectory.

The second phase of programming is a blend of professional development and entrepreneurship training. During this phase, participants will be matched with a mentor who will provide guidance and support.

During the final phase of the program, participants have the opportunity to pitch for capital that will be used to finance their goals.

This program is based on best practices and includes exploration of cognitive behavioral therapy, financial education, entrepreneurship training, mentorship, general life skills and connectivity to valuable supportive community services most needed by participants.
